Situation

iptables cluster module is flooding the log files

 

Resolution

Kernel version  2.6.16.60-0.33 available on the channel fix this issue.

Additional Information

iptables CLUSTERIP module is used to do load balancing and shared ip. Doing so causes a large amount of messages to get logged via syslog-ng to /var/log/messages and /var/log/warn.

Log entries in /var/log/messages and /var/log/warn.

Oct 24 11:28:15 server1 kernel: hash=1 ct_hash=1 responsible

Oct 24 11:28:15 server1 kernel: hash=4 ct_hash=4 not responsible

Oct 24 11:28:15 server1 kernel: hash=1 ct_hash=1 responsible
