chown -R wwwrun:root /var/cache/rhn/
restart spacewalk-proxy service:
spacewalk-proxy restart
and register the client once again using the bootstrap script.

Cause

Missing /var/cache/rhn/ directory on top of SUSE Manager Proxy. Following error message can be seen in apache2 error log (/var/log/apache2/error_log) within SUSE Manager Proxy system:
PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/cache/rhn'
