Rsyslog service can not start after update to rsyslog-8.2106.0-8.5.2.x86_64

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applica­tions 12 SP5

Situation

The rsyslog service failed after updating rsyslog directly to the latest version.

Resolution

Install the latest update for libfastjson4.

#zypper install -t patch SUSE-SLE-SERVER-12-SP5-2022-2028

Cause

The latest rsyslogd depends on libfastjson4 library file.

  * libfastjson 0.99.8 required
 

Additional Information

This issue does not occur when the system is fully updated. The libfastjson4 patch will be updated together.
