The salt-minion.service fails when the minion has 2 IP addresses. Python exception 'illegal IP address string passed to inet_pton'

Client Environments Affected:

Situation

After upgrading salt packages, the salt-minion.service on minions with two IP addresses in interface fails with python exception 'illegal IP address string passed to inet_pton'.

Resolution

A temporary patch (Program Temporary Fix) has been made available for client systems affected by this situation. Since the issue impacts the client registration process, if a client system is impacted by this issue, the packages containing the fix may need to be installed manually.

For impacted RHEL/RES 7 clients install the following packages from the above link, then run `systemctl restart salt-minion`
