There are errors in your kickstart/autoyast template. Please check the 'Autoinstallation File' tab to determine the problem with the template.

Environment

SUSE Manager Server 4.2

Situation

Create an Autoinstallation profiles with Autoyast Template, error message shows "There are errors in your kickstart/autoyast template. Please check the 'Autoinstallation File' tab to determine the problem with the template." It is a tricky message because no syntax error on Autoyast.xml.

Resolution

1) Please re-install the cobbler packages that contains the missing file(s).

zypper in -f cobbler

2) Files located at /srv/www/cobbler/svc/ directory

3) Refresh the profiles page, the error should be gone

Cause

This error message caused by missing services.py on /srv/www/cobbler/svc/ directory.
