Situation

Does Rancher v2.x support two-factor (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

 

Resolution

The built-in Rancher local authentication provider does not have 2FA or MFA capabilities; however, it is possible to secure Rancher with 2FA/MFA, by using one of the Rancher-supported authentication providers with this capability.
