Situation

The SMT server successfully sync with SCC (SUSE Customer Center) without errors, but the number of registered Clients in the SMT do not match the number of registered systems in SCC. There are systems that are registered in the SMT server but not showing in SCC and vice versa.

Resolution

To correct this discrepancy, a change in the SMT's database is required to force the sync of all the registered systems.

Open a root session on the SMT server and access the SMT's database with the command:

      mysql -u smt -p smt

Input the password (it was set when the SMT was configured for the first time)

Once in the database prompt "MariaDB [smt]>", input the following command (the semicolon sign at the end of each line it is very important):

      UPDATE Registration SET NCCREGDATE=NULL;

Exit the database with:

      quit;

Then run the register command with the reset option as follows:

      smt-register --reseterror

Once finished, the systems should show in SCC matching the number of registered Clients in the SMT server.

Cause

There are several possible causes for this issue, like not properly unregistering a Client from the SMT, a system was removed from SCC and not synced or the systems showing in SCC belong to an old SMT server that no longer exist.
