zypper migration fails with "Net::ReadTimeout"

This document (7024105) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15

Situation

Upgrading a SLE15 to the new Service Pack: SLE15 SP1 with "zypper migration" fails with:

....
Repository 'SLE-Module-Basesystem15-Pool' is up to date.
[-list-of-repositories-]
Repository 'SLE-Module-Web-Scripting15-Updates' is up to date.
All repositories have been refreshed.
Can't get available migrations from server: Net::ReadTimeout: Net::ReadTimeout
'/usr/lib/zypper/commands/zypper-migration' exited with status 1

"YaST2 - Software - Online Migration" also fails with the following error:

"Error
Connection time out.

Details: Make sure that the registration server is reachable and the connection is reliable."

Resolution

To avoid the timeout, the issue was resolved on the SUSE Customer Center side.
Results are returned faster and 'zypper migration' now shows the list of "Available migrations:"
