Upgrading from SUSE Enterprise Storage 4 to 5 , stage 3 fails

Following the online documentation to upgrade from SUSE Enterprise Storage 4 (DeepSea Deployment) to 5, step "10. f. Run Stage 3 to deploy Ceph Managers:" will fail with the following:

apparmor                 : enabled on 7/7 minions; 0 minions have all ceph.apparmor profiles

It is needed to first specify any one of the three apparmor states for the minions, "default-enforce", "default-complain" or "default-disable". The commands to do this, run from the master / DeepSea node:

# salt -I "deepsea_minions:*" state.apply ceph.apparmor.default-enforce
# salt -I "deepsea_minions:*" state.apply ceph.apparmor.default-complain
# salt -I "deepsea_minions:*" state.apply ceph.apparmor.default-disable


As part of stage 3 a ready check is performed, during stage 3 this check is by default set to fail on warning. Since at this stage of the upgrade apparmor is enabled on all the nodes but without any profiles, a warning that 0 minions have apparmor profiles is returned during the check resulting in the failure of stage 3
