SUSE Manager 2.1

Accessing the following page in the Web-Interface of SUSE Manager:

Admin -> Task Schedules -> errata-cache-default -> errata-cache-bunch

(equals: https://<yourSUSEManager>/rhn/admin/

shows a lot of SKIPPED errata-cache runs and only a few or no FINISHED tasks.

To solve this problem go to the following page in the Web-Interface

Admin -> Task Schedules -> errata-cache-default

(equals: https://<yourSUSEManager</rhn/admin/

Check what the schedule says. If is set to run every 10 minutes ("0 0/10 * * * ?"). Please change it to run every minute: "0 * * * * ?".

If the SUSE Manager 2.1 system was migrated from version 1.7, this job is scheduled to run too infrequently (the default setting in version 1.7 was every 10 minutes).

New SUSE Manager 2.1 installations do have the correct value by default.

An upcoming maintenance update will fix this problem. Setting this configuration parameter manually precedes this part of the maintenance update.
