Yast Iscsi-Client Does Not Display the Start Status of Connected LUNs (onboot, manual, automatic)

This document (7016043) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP3

Situation

When using the yast iscsi-client module the startup setting for some of the LUNs that are connected are not being shown.

For this server, all LUNs from a NAS Lenovo, work fine. However, all LUNs from a Dell EqualLogic SAN show up empty.

Manually modify the startup settings via the command line, and then check them, and they are correctly set. Additionally, if the server is rebooted the LUNs are properly attached and working as desired.

The problem is the visibility of the startup value in yast.

Resolution

This is a known issue and the update released March 2015 includes the fix.
