Apache will not start after update

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP4
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP3
 

Situation

Apache service fails to start.

SLES 10 SP4
Installed apache2 packages are:

apache2-2.2.3-16.50.1
apache2-worker-2.2.3-16.50.1

SLES 10 SP3
Installed apache2 packages are:

apache2-2.2.3-16.32.51.2
apache2-worker-2.2.3-16.32.51.2


/var/log/apache2/rcapache2.out contains

httpd2-worker: Syntax error on line 113 of /etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 18 of /etc/apache2/sysconfig.d/loadmodule.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib64/apache2-worker/mod_cgid.so into server: /usr/lib64/apache2-worker/mod_cgid.so: undefined symbol: ap_timeout_parameter_parse

Resolution

A maintenance update released October 2014 resolving this issue is available.
