Wrong server name when sending mail through PostFix

The mail shows root@<wrongserver> as its mail from
Wrong server name shown through postfix mail


  1. Open the /etc/postfix/ file
  2. Edit the myhostname setting from its default entry to the correct server name and domain
  3. Restart postfix by typing rcpostfix restart


The host name attribute had not been updated correctly and was using its default setting.
