Midnight Commander (mc), a program to manage files and directories does not open zip files/ archives.
Opening the Midnight Commander "mc" in a terminal and selecting an example.zip archive and press enter will come up empty.

As workaround open the file /usr/share/mc/extfs/uzip and change the 0 in "my $op_has_zipinfo = 0" to 1.
