Invalid symbolic link in /usr/lib(64)/ooo3/basis3.2/presets/config causes OpenOffice to crash

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 Service Pack 1

Situation

One of the applications from the OpenOffice suite crashes. Additionally, an "infinite" directory structure is created in the users home directory, at path:
 
${HOME}/.ooo3/user/config/config/config/...../config/config

Resolution

There is an invalid symbolic link in the OpenOffice_org-l10n-extras package. Removing it should resolve this issue. The symbolic link is at path:
 
/usr/lib(64)/ooo3/basis3.2/presets/config/sun-color.soc

Additional Information

This issue has been reported to engineering and will be corrected in one of the upcoming maintenance updates. Customers interested in receiving a PTF package containing the fix before the maintenance update is released should open a service request with SUSE Technical Services.
