ACPI_OSC error messages appear in dmesg

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 2


dmesg contains multiple entries of the following error messages:

Evaluate_OSC Set Fails. Status =0x0005
aer_init: AER service init fails - No ACPI_OSC support
aer: probe of 0000:00:0a.0:pcie01 failed with error 1


The error messages are inaccurate and false. To resolve these messages, update the kernel to version or newer.

Additional Information

The error messages have occurred on the SUN Blade X6240 Server Module and the SUN Blade X6440 Server Module.
