Description

udp.c in the Linux kernel before 4.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via UDP traffic that triggers an unsafe second checksum calculation during execution of a recv system call with the MSG_PEEK flag.

Note from the SUSE Security Team

This issue was fixed in the Linux Kernel 4.4.21 stable release, and so was fixed before SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 SP2 shipment. This issue was fixed in Linux Kernel 3.12.53 for SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 and 12 SP1. The problem does not affect Linux Kernel 3.0 and older, so SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 and older products are not affected.
