These release notes cover the following areas:
WebYaST is a web-based remote console, providing a set of configuration modules appropriate to enable minimal user control of the application image or appliance "black box" environment.
WebYaST 1.2 uses a new web server as the back-end technology; lighttpd, which was used in previous releases, has been replaced with nginx. If you upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2, you should remove lighttpd from your appliance depending on whether it is needed for other appliacations which are part of your appliance.
This is a list of issues known in this release.
Bug 636621: yastws will fail to start, saying "iconv doesn't seem to support UTF-8/UTF-16 conversions", in a certain package configuration.
Please read the READMEs on the CD.
