Bareos (Backup Archiving Recovery Open Sourced) is open-source backup and recovery software for modern IT environments. 
Licensed under AGPLv3 and available on GitHub, it is built for transparency, reliability and independence from vendor lock-in. Bareos supports major Linux platforms including SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and openSUSE, as well as Windows and macOS, and offers plugins for VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Proxmox, databases and other workloads.

Bareos 24 is an open-source backup and recovery solution for mixed IT environments. The maintained 24 release line supports major Linux platforms, Windows, and macOS and can be used across physical, virtual, and mixed environments.
