Failover Manager 4.x

Failover Manager is a tool for managing Postgres database clusters, enabling high availability of primary-standby deployment architectures using PostgreSQL physical streaming replication.

An HA Postgres cluster managed by Failover Manager consists of: 

* One active primary database node, where application transactions are applied.
* One or more read-only standby database node(s) which are synced with the primary through physical streaming replication.
* A witness node helps Failover Manager in decision making during a failover scenario. However if you have more than one standby, then a witness node is not required.
