Beta Web Enabler
There are various disadvantages to using printed list documents; accessing the information they contain is difficult, expensive and time consuming. Beta Web Enabler replaces paper lists with digital documents, saving costs and optimizing processes. A Return on Investment is achieved after only a short period of use.
The Beta Web Enabler prepares the content of the supported Beta products for viewing in a Web Browser. ASCII text, EBCDIC text such as a z/OS list or a Log document are displayed and can be edited with annotations. Scanned documents and other formats such as AFPDS, PCL or PDF are prepared for viewing with the internal text viewer or are shown for viewing with a special viewer. The available functionality for an end-user depends on the role of this user. Roles can be assigned, created or deleted using Role Management. The Beta Web enabler also supports favorites so that users can store complex search queries. Authentication of users can be performed via an eisting LDAP directory. The Beta Web Enabler can easily be integrated in the enterprise portals of third party vendors. The connections between the Beta Web Enabler and a specific Beta product is realized via a dedicated Web connector. Access to the content of the Beta product via a Web Service is also supported by the Beta Web Enabler.
