Config Notes
- This is a SAN boot only system.
- Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
- Kernel update: SLES11 SP3 kernel update 9237 (3.0.101-0.29 x86-64) is required and was installed during certification testing.
- The driver "htc-hfcldd" are used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant.
The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.11.18.3038.iso" and the driver package "htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.11.18.3038_3.0.76_0.11-2.sles11sp3.x86_64.rpm".
To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346401.html .
DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
- The driver be2net.ko used during testing is not SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the following driver package: elx-be2net-dd-sles11-10.0.800.0-1.tar.gz. This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES install. To obtain the driver go to: http://www.emulex.com/downloads/emulex/drivers/linux/sles-11/previous-releases/feb2014rt100/
