Config Notes
- Kdump (SLE12SP2): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=165M,high crashkernel=122M,low using YaST.
- Install: System installed using an external USB DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard disk configuration: RAID 0. Xen Hypervisor: it is required that the hypervisor is booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=12G dom0_max_vcpus=8.
- Installation Kit: The lenovo_servers_thinksystem-sle12sp2-x86_64-1.0.iso installation kit is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. This installation kit must be downloaded and used to start the SLES installation. To obtain the installation kit go to: https://drivers.suse.com/lenovo/Lenovo-ThinkSystem/sle-12-sp2-x86_64/1.0/.
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given the SLES 12 FV guest. One of the integrated Ethernet Connection X722 for 10GBASE-T adapters was used in this testing.
