Config Notes

The PLDP compliant LAN driver used during testing was installed from the following rpms: intel-e1000e-1.2.20-1.x86_64.rpm. These drivers can be downloaded and installed after the SLES install. To obtain the driver go to: http://drivers.suse.com/driver-process/pub/update/Intel/sle11sp1/common/x86_64/
The SM712 video driver comes from Intel web site (S1200BTS on-board video driver)http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20001&lang=eng Please follow the steps below to install the driver: 1. Click “Download” to download the file “smi-xserver-sm712-intel-2010119-R1.zip”, choose “I accept…” when the pop window occur. 2. Unzip the file. 3. Copy the “smi-xserver-sm712-intel.tgz” to the SUT. 4. Unzip the file with command “tar zxvf smi-xserver-sm712-intel.tgz”. 5. Enter the directory: cd smi-xserver-sm712/sles11.1_64bit/ (this is for SLES11SP1 64bit. For i586, please use sles11.1_32bit instead). 6. Execute command : ./install. 7. After installation complete, type command “init 3”. 8. Put in the user name and password when enter the CLI interface. 9. Then input “init 5” to enter the GUI interface again. Then the driver can be successfully installed.
