Config Notes

Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.11.17.2166.iso" and the driver package "htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.11.17.2166_3.0.76_0.11-1.sles11sp3.x86_64.rpm". To obtain DUD and the driver package log onto : https://portal.hds.com. The Hitachi customer has to be a member of "HDS support portal" to access the driver for download. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation. To install SLES to the SAN storage, refer to the document "Hitachi Gigabit Fibre Channel Adapter Users Guide(SLES Driver Edition)" on https://portal.hds.com
This is a SAN boot only system.
The maximum CPU cores which can be allocated from LPAR is 64.
