Config Notes
- Headless configuration - no graphics adapter. System configured using IBM remote Hardware Management Console (HMC) for graphics, keyboard and mouse.
- Install: The SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server install was performed using a network install method. The following TID was used to perform the install: https://www.suse.com/de-de/support/kb/doc/?id=7021181. The kernel was then updated with the following kernel update: https://download.suse.com/Download?buildid=s57IyOa_Iw8~
Following TID https://www.suse.com/de-de/support/kb/doc/?id=7023433 was used to add additional boot parameters.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were changed based on the content in the following knowledge-base article: https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=3374462
- Power management: The System/Processor dynamic CPU frequency scaling functionality in SLES is not supported on POWER9 (PowerVM) as this functionality is provided by the POWER9 hardware itself.
