Product Description
The FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY TX2550 M4 is a brand new dual socket tower server designed for demanding business needs to deliver the highest levels of workload versatile performance, expandability and cost-effectiveness. This office ready, powerful system comes with the latest Intel® Xeon® Processor Scalable Family CPUs with 26 cores, along with DDR4 memory technology with up to 768GB capacity and is ideal for most CPU/memory driven requirements such as demanding business applications (industryspecific, analytics apps), business processing (ERP, CRM) and virtualized workloads. The server is designed for huge expandability with up to 32 storage drives, advanced RAID and a range of high-throughput networking cards including DynamicLOM options, making it highly suitable for storage centric requirements such as collaboration/ IT infrastructure workloads and even high-data transfer web or big-data configurations. More technology advancements are on the roadmap – Up to 8 expansion slots are available for future growth. The server is designed for silent operation, ideal for offices. The server also delivers world-class reliability and energy efficiency up to 96% efficient, dual power supplies. Operation in higher ambient temperatures is ensured by the Cool-safe® Advanced Thermal Design, avoiding the need for expenditure on special cooling. Config Notes
- This is a SAN boot only system.
- Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
- The driver "hfcldd.ko" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk (DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.12.22.4346.iso" and the driver package "htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.12.22.4346_4.12.14_120-1.sles12sp5.x86_64.rpm". To obtain DUD and the driver package, go to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12347937.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
- The driver "ixgbevf.ko" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbevf used for Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters is named "intel-ixgbevf-4.6.3-h2.x86_64.rpm" and "intel-ixgbevf-kmp-default-4.6.3_k4.12.14_120-h2.x86_64.rpm". This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES12 SP5 installation. To obtain the driver go to https://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12347958.html.
- The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
