Product Description
The Lenovo Flex System™ x240 Compute Node is a high-performance server that offers outstanding performance for virtualization with high levels of CPU performance and memory capacity, and flexible configuration options. The x240 Compute Node is an efficient server designed to run a broad range of workloads, armed with advanced management capabilities that allow you to manage your physical and virtual IT resources from a single pane of glass. The two integrated BCM5718 dual-port network adapters are sold as a single Lenovo Flex System EN2024 4-port 1Gb Ethernet Adapter.

Config Notes
- This is a SAN boot only system.
- Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
- The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.12.18.3146.iso" and the driver package htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.12.18.3146_3.12.28_4-1.sles12.x86_64.rpm. To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346613.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
- The driver "ixgbevf" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbe is used with the Intel Ethernet Server Adapter X520-2 and the driver package name is "intel-ixgbevf-2.16.4-2.1.x86_64.rpm" and "intel-ixgbevf-kmp-default-2.16.4_k3.12.28_4-2.1.x86_64.rpm". This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES12 install. To obtain the driver go to: http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346835.html
- The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
