Product Description
Lenovo NeXtScale System™ is the next generation of dense computing. It is an open, flexible, and simple data center solution for users of technical computing, grid deployments, analytics workloads, and large-scale cloud and virtualization infrastructures. The Lenovo NeXtScale n1200 enclosure and new Lenovo NeXtScale nx360 M5 server are designed to optimize density and performance within typical data center infrastructure limits. The 6U NeXtScale n1200 enclosure fits in a standard 19-inch rack and up to 12 nx360 M5 servers can be installed into the enclosure. With more computing power per watt and the Intel Xeon v3 processor, you can reduce costs while maintaining speed and availability.

Disk configuration: HDD single disk configured as RAID 0 and M.2 boot device with two SSDs configured as a RAID 0 device. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with and requires the following additional load parameters: dom0_mem=16G dom0_max_vcpus=8.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.5.exe).
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 15 FV guest. One of the Intel Integrated Ethernet Connection X722 for 10GbE SFP+ adapters was used in this testing.
