Product Description
The FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY RX2530 M4 is a rack server that provides high performance, expandability and energy efficiency in a 1U space saving housing. The PRIMERGY RX2530 M4 is ideal for virtualization, scale-out scenarios, and small databases as well as for high performance computing thanks to the high performance of the new Intel® Xeon® Processor Scalable Family CPUs with up to 28 cores and the latest DDR4 memory technology. The limited space of a 1U chassis offers highly efficient power supply units, their redundancy on demand and the optional Cool-safe® Advanced Thermal Design this will result in lower operational costs. Config Notes
- Tested as a 2-node scalable partition with 8 Compute Books. Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 1. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=10G dom0_max_vcpus=10. 64-bit guests were tested with a maximum memory configuration of 64GB.
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
- VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.2.exe).
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to one of the SLES 12 FV guests. One of the Intel X540 ML2 10GbaseT adapters was used in this testing.
