Config Notes
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: JBOD
- System was scaled up to 4-socket by joining two x880 X6 with 4S scalability connector.
- Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports.
- VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from https://download.suse.com/ (VMDP-WIN-2.2.exe).
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 SP1 x86_64 guest. One of the embedded Lenovo Embedded Four-Port 10GB Virtual Fabric Ethernet LOM adapters was used in this testing.
- Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters "dom0_mem=32G dom0_max_vcpus=16".
