Config Notes
- Install: System installed using PXE UEFI network install; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Tested as a 1-node scalable partition with 4 Compute Books. Hard disk configuration: RAID 6.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to "crashkernel=167M,high crashkernel=112M,low" using YaST.
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to one of the SLES 12 guests. One of the Intel® I350-T4 ML2 Quad Port GbE adapters was used in this testing.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.3.exe).
- Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters added to the Xen section of the /etc/default/grub file: dom0_mem=10G dom0_max_vcpus=10.
