Product Description
The Lenovo Flex System x240 M5 Compute Node is a high-performance server that offers enhanced security, efficiency, and reliability features to handle business-critical workloads. The blade server incorporates up to two Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 processors. The processors feature up to 22 cores each and use new lightning-fast Lenovo TruDDR4 memory, which runs at speeds up to 2400 MHz. Suggested uses: database, virtualization, enterprise applications, collaboration and email, streaming media, Web, HPC, and cloud applications.

Config Notes
- Install: System installed using an external USB DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader configuration.
Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports.
- VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from https://download.suse.com/ (VMDP-WIN-2.3.exe).
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 SP1 x86_64 guest. One of the Lenovo CN4052 2-port 10Gb Virtual Fabric Adapter was used in this testing.
- Maintenance update: Update patch:SUSE-SLE-SERVER-12-SP1-2016-263/qemu 263 is needed and was installed on the KVM host.
