Product Description
PowerEdge M630 is supported on Dell PowerEdge VRTX. The Dell Shared PERC 8 card is located between the storage array and the power distribution board on the VRTX planar. The Dell Shared PERC 8 slot routes SAS to the nearby planar miniSAS connectors, which are used to internally cable SAS from the PERC to the SAS expander cards in the storage array. Config Notes

Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports for local console connectivity.
Maintenance update: SLES 11 SP3 Xen maintenance update 8063 and xen kernel update 8270 x86-64 are required and were installed during certification testing.
VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP3 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe).
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where one of the host network adapters was given to the FV SLES 11 SP3 x86-64 guest. The embedded Intel® Ethernet Controller I350-AM2 adapter was used for this testing.
Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 0.
Install: System installed using external USB connected DVD drive; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
