Config Notes

Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
Kernel update: SLES11 SP3 kernel update 9237 (3.0.101-0.29 x86-64) is required and was installed during certification testing.
This is a SAN boot only system.
The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.11.18.3130.iso" and the driver package htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.11.18.3130_3.0.76_0.11-1.sles11sp3.x86_64.rpm. To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346444.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation. The driver was forcibly loaded.
The driver "ixgbevf" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbevf use Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters and the driver package name is "intel-ixgbevf-2.16.4-2.1.x86_64.rpm" and "intel-ixgbevf-kmp-default-2.16.4_3.0.76_0.11-2.1.x86_64.rpm". This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES11SP3 install. To obtain the driver go to: http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346673.html
