Config Notes

Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
This is a SAN boot only system.
The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk (DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.12.18.3146.iso" and the driver package htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.12.18.3146_3.12.28_4-1.sles12.x86_64.rpm. To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346613.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
The driver "ixgbe" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbe used for Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters is named "ixgbe-kmp-default-4.4.6_k3.12.28_4-h1.x86_64.rpm". The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
System support: Please note that for full support on the listed guest OS release a special SUSE support contract is necessary.
