Config Notes
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: JBOD. System was scaled up to 4-sockets by joining two x480 X6 with 4S scalability connector. Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two additional USB ports.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameter was changed to crashkernel=316M,high crashkernel=172M,low for kdump to function correctly.
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to a SLES 12 SP5 guest. One of the Lenovo Embedded Four-Port 10GB Virtual Fabric Ethernet LOM adapters was used in this testing.
