Config Notes
- Install: System installed using PXE network install; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Disk configuration: HDD two disk RAID 0 and M.2 boot device with two SSD configured as RAID 0. The "Device model" selected for the SLES guest virtual network adapter during testing was e1000, instead of the default virtio.
- Kdump (SLE15): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=231M,high crashkernel=122M,low using YaST.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.5.exe), the virtio network drivers were used during testing.
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 15 FV guest. One of the internal X550-T2 10GBase-T adapters was used in this testing.
