Product Description
The FUJITSU PRIMERGY TX2540 M1 is the perfect Tower Server for small and medium-sized companies (SMB) as well as branches. It supports up to two processors of the Intel Xeon E5-2400 v2 family, thus combining affordable performance with balanced expandability. Its maximum 24 hard disks and 192 GB of RAM is ideal as a starting-point for server virtualization or as a database and communication server. Furthermore, optional redundancy secures stable and reliable operation. Thanks to its minimum operational noise, the server is ideal for offices, for example under the desk. Furthermore, the comprehensive Fujitsu ServerView® Suite provides support for administrators during server installation, deployment and administration. Config Notes

Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 0
UEFI Configuration: The Processor Performance State (p-state) setting in UEFI was changed from the default Enabled to Disabled. ( F1 Setup --> System Settings --> Processors )
VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from https://download.suse.com/ (VMDP-WIN-2.2.exe).
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 SP1 x86_64 guest. One of the embedded Broadcom® NetXtreme II ML2 Dual Port 10GbaseT adapters was used in this testing.
Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters "dom0_mem=24G dom0_max_vcpus=12".
