Config Notes

This is a SAN boot only system.
The driver "htc-hfcldd" are used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.11.18.3038.iso" and the driver package "htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.11.18.3038_3.0.76_0.11-2.sles11sp3.x86_64.rpm". To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346401.html . DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
The driver "ixgbe" are used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver "ixgbe" use Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters and the driver package name is "ixgbe-kmp-default-3.21.2_3.0.101_0.29-h1.x86_64.rpm". This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES11SP3 install. To obtain the driver go to: http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346369.html
Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
Kernel update: SLES11 SP3 kernel update 9237 (x86-64) are required and were installed during certification testing.
"Hard Disk Drive" and "Logic / Symbios Logic RAID bus controllers" are not supported on this configuration.
