Product Description

Config Notes
- This is a SAN boot only system.
- Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
- Maintenance update: SLES12 SP3 kernel update 1385 (kernel-default-4.4.140-94.42.1.x86_64.rpm) is required and was downloaded from http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=RFalUgbIh18~# and installed during certification testing.
- The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk (DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.12.22.4334.iso" and the driver package htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.12.22.4334_4.4.73_7-1.sles12sp3.x86_64.rpm. To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12347757.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
- The driver "ixgbevf" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbevf used for Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters is named "intel-ixgbevf-4.5.1-h2.x86_64.rpm" and "intel-ixgbevf-kmp-default-4.5.1_k4.4.73_7-h2.x86_64.rpm". This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES12 SP3 installation. To obtain the driver go to: http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12347740.html.
- The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
