Product Description
Fujitsu’s PRIMEQUEST 2800E unite the economic
and flexibility benefits of x86 industry standards
with mission-critical uptime features. Customers
will thus immediately benefit from a radically

UNIX-based enterprise platforms, while preserving
all the attributes so that the system always
remains active. Featuring eight of the Intel®
Xeon® processor E7-8800 v2 product family which
deliver up to 120 cores and 12TB memory, the
PRIMEQUEST provides unprecedented performance
and memory capacity for demanding corporate
databases, mission-critical applications and
in-memory solutions. Mission critical features
also enable outstanding platform reliability with
innnovative error prevention and self-healing
capabilities, such as Reserved System Board,
Flexible I/O as well as logic physical partitioning.
Moreover, unique features, such as Dynamic
Reconfiguration enable the efficient use of
available resources while simplifying resource
management without any need for a restart.

Config Notes
- Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
- The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant.
The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.11.17.2166.iso" and the driver package "htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.11.17.2166_3.0.76_0.11-1.sles11sp3.x86_64.rpm".
To obtain DUD and the driver package log onto : https://portal.hds.com. The Hitachi customer has to be a member of "HDS support portal" to access the driver for download.
DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
To install SLES to the SAN storage, refer to the document "Hitachi Gigabit Fibre Channel Adapter Users Guide(SLES Driver Edition)" on https://portal.hds.com
- This is a SAN boot only system.
