Product Description
The IBM® Flex System™ x222 Compute Node is a high-density dual-server offering that is designed for virtualization, dense cloud deployments, and hosted clients. The x222 has two independent servers in one mechanical package, which means that the x222 has a double-density design that allows up to 28 servers to be housed in a single 10U Flex System Enterprise Chassis.

Config Notes
- Install: System installed using an external USB DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader and elilo system configuration. Tested as a 1-node scalable partition with 4 Compute Books. Hard disk configuration: RAID 6.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameter in the elilo.conf file was changed from 128 to 256 (crashkernel=512M-:256M) for kdump to function correctly.
- SUSE Driver Kit: The lenovo_x6_and_m5-sle11sp3-x86_64-1.0.iso driver kit is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver kit was installed during the SLES install process as an initial bootable iso image. This driver must be downloaded and installed before the SLES install.
