Product Description
The Toshiba SurePOS 500 is a leading compact point-of-sale system with IR touch screen technology. The all-new SurePOS 500 (4852-566/E66) provides a smart shopping experience via the sleek compact design that complements the store image, the powerful technology that enables retailers to provide superior customer service, and the industry-leading IR touchscreen that reduces training time and improves employee productivity. It also enables smart operation. Retailers can experience less cost with the new energy-efficient processor and power-saving deep sleep automation technology. Retailers will be able to improve service with tool-free access to components such as the hard drive and Toshiba Lightpath Management. And with built-in security features and Toshiba's unique retail-hardened design and construction, retailers will find it easier to manage risk. Model 566 is hardware identical to Model E66.

Config Notes

Install: System installed using external USB connected DVD drive; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 1.
Integrated network: only two of the four ethernet adapters/ports on the I350-AM4 quad-port network controller are enabled on this system.
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where the network adapter was given to one of the SLES 11 SP3 x86-64 guests. One of the embedded Intel® Ethernet Controller I350-AM4 adapters was used in this testing.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP3 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe).
