Product Description
The Acer AR580 F2 is the uncompromising performance and high reliability server board of choice for demanding customers. It features support for four powerful Intel® Xeon® processor E5-4600 and a massive memory capacity of upto 1.5 TB via 48 memory sockets in a dense, rack-optimized form factor. Six PCIe* Gen 3 x16 slots, integrated dual 10 Gbe provide the expandability and flexibility that enterprise-class customers demand.

Config Notes

Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports for local console connectivity.
Maintenance update: SLES 11 SP3 Xen maintenance update 8063 and xen kernel update 8270 x86-64 are required and were installed during certification testing.
VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP3 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe).
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where one of the host network adapters was given to the FV SLES 11 SP3 x86-64 guest. The embedded Intel® Ethernet Controller I350-AM2 adapter was used for this testing.
Hard Disk Configuration: RAID 0.
Install: System installed using external USB connected DVD drive; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
