The NEC Express5800/R120d-2M, a scalable compact dual-socket 2U rack server built on the Intel® Xeon® E5-2650 processors, offers excellent performance, reliability, and energy savings. Its green technology enables the operation in temperatures of 40°C (104°F) to lower air conditioning costs for server rooms. The R120d-2M supports large memory capacity which is perfect for high data volume processing and future growth of your business.

Config Notes

Install: Kernel boot parameter "nomodeset" was added during install.
Power management: Hibernation / Suspend to Disk / ACPI S4 is NOT supported on this system.
Power management: System/Processor does NOT support fan thermal scaling.
Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameter was changed to 256 (crashkernel=512M-:256M).
Graphics: Video driver used in testing was downloaded from http://www.hp.com/support/workstations. Video driver is not SolidDriver-compliant and requires installation of kernel source and development tools.
