The NEC Express5800/R120d-2M, a scalable compact dual-socket 2U rack server built on the Intel® Xeon® E5-2643 processors, offers excellent performance, reliability, and energy savings. Config Notes

Install: System installed using PXE network install; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Disk configuration: two HDD and two M.2 (boot) drives configured as separate RAID 1 devices. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with and requires the following additional load parameters: dom0_mem=16G dom0_max_vcpus=8 (parameters are required, parameter values can be changed).
Kdump (SLE12SP3): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=192M,high crashkernel=132M,low using YaST.
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 SP3 FV guest. One of the integrated Ethernet Connection X722 for 1GbE adapters was used in this testing.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.4.exe).
