Config Notes
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were changed based on the content in the following knowledge-base article for ppc64le: https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=3374462
- Headless configuration - no graphics adapter. System configured using IBM remote Hardware Management Console (HMC) for graphics, keyboard and mouse.
- Install: The SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server install was performed using a network install method.
- CPU: This system is 2 CPU socket configuration with 24 core dual chip module per socket, totalling 48 cores. The Power10 3.9 GHz (Max) DCM CPUs tested each have 24 cores and with SMT8 totalling 384 vCPU threads.
- Power management: The System/Processor dynamic CPU frequency scaling functionality in SLES is not supported on Power10 (PowerVM) as this functionality is provided by the Power10 hardware itself.
