Oracles''s Netra Server X3-2 (formerly Sun Netra X4270 M3) is an x86-based carrier-grade system ideal for demanding network infrastructure workloads and cloud-based deployments. Config Notes

Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Tested as a 2-node scalable partition with 8 Compute Books. Hard disk configuration: separate RAID 0.
Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to "crashkernel=172M,high crashkernel=122M,low" using YaST.
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to one of the SLES 12 guests. One of the Intel® X540 ML2 Dual Port 10GbaseT adapters was used in this testing.
VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from https://download.suse.com/ (VMDP-WIN-2.3.exe).
Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters added to the Xen section of the /etc/default/grub file: dom0_mem=8G dom0_max_vcpus=8.
