Config Notes

This is a SAN boot only system.
Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.12.18.3146.iso" and the driver package htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.12.18.3146_3.12.28_4-1.sles12.x86_64.rpm. To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346613.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation.
The driver "ixgbevf" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbevf use Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters and the driver package name is "intel-ixgbevf-2.16.4-2.1.x86_64.rpm" and "intel-ixgbevf-kmp-default-2.16.4_k3.12.28_4-2.1.x86_64.rpm". This driver package can be downloaded and installed after the SLES12 install. To obtain the driver go to: http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346835.html
The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
